Victron Argodiode 120-2AC is a high-quality and reliable battery isolator that allows one alternator to charge two separate battery banks without them discharging into each other. Ideal for marine, RV and off-grid systems requiring safe multi-battery charging.

Product Description

Diode battery isolators allow simultaneous charging of two or more batteries from one alternator, without connecting the batteries together. This prevents the accessory battery from discharging the starter battery.

The Argo Battery Isolators use Schottky diodes to achieve very low voltage drop: around 0.3 V at low current and approx. 0.45 V at rated load.

All models include a compensation diode that slightly increases the alternator output voltage to offset the diode voltage drop, ensuring proper charging.

Alternator Energize Input

Some alternators require DC voltage on the B+ output to start charging. A diode isolator prevents the return voltage needed for this. The new AC models feature a special current-limited energize input that solves this issue.
