Line throwing device with rocket and 300 m of line, designed for maritime rescue operations as a guideline for cables and ropes and for establishing a connection between vessels or between lifeboat and vessel. Approved according to SOLAS and MED regulations.
IKAROS line thrower is designed for maritime rescue operations as a guideline for cables and ropes. It is used between vessels, from lifeboat to vessel or from vessel to lifeboat, and for rescuing personnel.
The device is approved in accordance with the latest regulations: SOLAS 74/96, MED 96/98 EC, Directive 2014/93/EC and IMO Res. MSC. 81 (70) as amended.
Composition
A robust device consisting of a waterproof plastic container with integral handle and trigger mechanism, a solid fuel rocket and 300 m of line.
Usage Instructions
- Remove the safety tab.
- Hold with both hands.
- Keep the arrows on the line thrower parallel to the deck/ground.
- Pull the trigger.
