The COMET Light & Smoke Signal is a SOLAS-approved man overboard (MOB) marker designed for professional maritime safety applications. The unit automatically activates when deployed with a lifebuoy or can be manually triggered, providing reliable visual marking of a casualty both day and night.
The COMET Light & Smoke Signal is a professional marine safety device designed to mark the position of a person overboard (MOB) in both day and night conditions.
This combined signal uses dense orange smoke for daytime visibility and powerful LED lights for night operation, ensuring rapid identification of the casualty position at sea.
The unit is typically mounted on a 4 kg lifebuoy and activates automatically upon deployment into the water, with an option for manual activation. It complies with SOLAS, MED, USCG, and UK MER standards.
