The kit includes 36 m of floating line connected to a strong buoyant sling and a personal retaining clip for added safety. The LifeLink Rescue Sling is designed for effective man-overboard (MOB) recovery and safe retrieval of a casualty back on board. The system is intended to be permanently mounted on the pushpit and stored in its own soft PVC bag, which is easy to clean and maintain.
The kit contains 36 meters of floating line attached to a strong buoyant rescue sling and a personal retaining clip for added safety. Deployment is achieved by removing the LifeLink, attaching the floating line to a secure point, and throwing the system towards the person overboard.
Once in the water, the vessel should circle the casualty, allowing the LifeLink to be towed towards them. Rescue is completed when the casualty is safely clipped into the sling, after which the system is used to winch and recover the person back on board.
