The Ocean Signal Personal Locator Beacon PLB3 is an advanced personal locator beacon combining global Cospas-Sarsat satellite alerting with AIS technology for rapid local recovery. Designed for professional users, mariners and offshore activities, it transmits a 406 MHz distress signal to international rescue services, AIS messages to nearby vessels and a 121.5 MHz homing signal. With a high-sensitivity 72-channel GNSS receiver, powerful visual and infrared strobes and robust construction, the PLB3 delivers reliable personal safety in critical situations.

The Ocean Signal Personal Locator Beacon PLB3 is a compact and powerful personal locator beacon designed to deliver a multi-layered rescue response in emergency situations. Upon activation, the device transmits a global 406 MHz Cospas-Sarsat distress signal to international rescue authorities while simultaneously broadcasting AIS position messages to nearby vessels.

The unit also transmits a 121.5 MHz homing signal for final approach rescue and features high-intensity visible and infrared strobe lights for enhanced detection in low-light conditions. A high-sensitivity 72-channel GNSS receiver ensures fast and accurate position acquisition.

The rescueME PLB3 uses a lithium iron disulfide battery providing more than 24 hours of operation at −20°C, with clearly defined replacement intervals. Designed for personal wear on lifejackets or gear, it complies with international safety standards.
