The MAX POWER CT45 12V tunnel thruster installation set is a complete solution for fitting a bow or stern thruster to improve safe and precise manoeuvring in marinas, crosswinds, and currents. The set includes the CT45 DUO thruster (up to 45 kgf), a D125 fiberglass tunnel (L750), a 2-direction joystick, an ANL 175A fuse with holder, and tinned marine cable. Designed for vessels around 6–10 m, depending on displacement and hull shape.
The MAX POWER CT45 12V tunnel thruster installation set is a complete package for fitting a bow or stern thruster to improve safe and controlled manoeuvring. It is ideal for docking in confined marinas, as well as handling crosswinds and strong currents.
At the core of the set is the Max Power CT45 Electric Tunnel Thruster featuring DUO (twin) propellers. The DUO system delivers improved efficiency and better control compared to single-prop solutions in the same class, especially during short thrust pulses (“pulse docking”) and fine corrections. The CT45 is compact yet powerful, suitable for boats approximately 6–10 m in length (depending on displacement and hull shape).
In its 12V configuration, the CT45 delivers up to 45 kgf of thrust with a power output of 3230 W (3.23 kW) or 4.3 hp. This performance level provides a clear and effective lateral movement without excessive weight or space requirements onboard.
The set includes a D125 mm fiberglass tunnel with a length of 750 mm. Tunnel diameter is essential for hull preparation and installation, while fiberglass construction provides an excellent balance of strength, corrosion resistance, and ease of fitting.
Electrical protection is ensured by an ANL fuse holder and an ANL 175A fuse, matched to the 12V thruster system. A 12.5 m tinned marine cable is included to support a reliable marine-grade electrical installation.
Control is provided via the Max Power 2-Direction Joystick, offering simple and intuitive left/right operation, ideal for precise short thrust impulses and safe directional control.
